This eye-catching apartment is owned by a couple with a good sense of humor and that is reflected in the decor.
The apartment is in the 1932 building and the owners were hoping for cool original brick walls but couldn’t find any and decided to build concrete walls to get the same raw effect.
The color scheme of the apartment is black and white, which is more typical for a Scandinavian room like this one. Here and there there are just a few touches of navy, gold, and natural wood to liven up the space.
The monochrome living room is more cozy, a black sofa and graphic black and white rug make the space comfortable, but the centerpiece of the room is a gallery wall with various works of art and pictures that really make a statement.
The home office is mid-century modern, with a cool retro wood desk and chair and a great metal mesh for hanging and attaching various things that is more functional and continues the decor. The unique bar cabinet is shaped like a fuel can with mirror surfaces and wood inside.
The kitchen is also a mix of black and white, and here the furniture is white while the floors are black. Modern furniture is mixed here with the flea market pieces from the 50s. Each room here has its own character, as does the kitchen. A special element here is a table door that is very functional and looks relaxing.
The master bedroom can come up with different colors such as blue. Navy curtains, a gray bedspread, and a headboard with a dark blue and gold lamp make the bedroom more eye-catching.
There are lots of fun items and decorations that show that the couple doesn’t take everything too seriously. So let yourself be inspired!
