This pretty stacking chair by the Milan design studio Skrivo is a pretty piece of furniture based on the children’s story The Princess and the Pea. You may remember the story: A princess proves her royal status by being sensitive enough to be disturbed by a pea in her bed, despite many layers of mattresses. Would you feel under those layers? The cushions sit on a metal frame and convey the idea of stability and comfort. They can be mixed and matched in a variety of fabrics and leathers. The backrest is bolted to two upright metal tubes in a contrasting color that bend and slit through four wooden legs to form side rails under the seat.
