Fallen Tree Bench From Glass And A Real Oak Tree

FallenTree was designed by the designer Benjamin Graindorge and is a minimalist bench that consists only of a glass top and a carefully carved oak. Both parts are perfectly combined to create this remarkable piece of furniture with practical function and eye-catching design. The idea of ​​the project was to highlight the natural beauty of the real tree, which looks very dramatic, to bring out the nature of the wood as a living substance. Graindorge chose to leave the tree’s original branches intact as a support at one end of the bench to remind of the living origins of the wood, as this makes the tree look strong, inflexible, and showy.
