The half house is a Swiss timber frame chalet from the 17th century in the historic Swiss mountain village of Andermatt. Half house originally stood next to a mirror-image house, but was destroyed by fire a few decades ago. The heart of the house is a double-height kitchen and living area. White wood paneling and floors contrast with the dark, custom-made kitchen and the gray plastered walls. The chalet’s furniture is a mix of new and old and includes several pieces, such as the dining table and chairs, which have been passed on from the previous owner. The bottom is entirely original. Although the chalet is a bit spartan inside, it’s a great place to relax.
