Modern Reinterpretation Traditional Romanian House

This is Casa G3, a fascinating residence in Otopeni near Bucharest, the capital of Romania. The project included the consolidation and expansion of an existing house and was completed by LAMA Archtiectura in 2015. The range of materials used for this project includes gray folded metal sheets for the roof, exposed concrete for the walls and ceiling, wood for the floor and deck, and bricks from the original roof, which is now used as decoration for the accented exterior wall. The wooden beams inside have been restored from the old design. The interiors are modern and stylish, they successfully mix the old and new accents. Get more pictures of this lovely home below!
