Rek Expanding Bookcase With Sliding Parts

This cool modern bookshelf was first designed by de Jong in 2008 – REK is a bookshelf that grows with a book collection. The more books you have, the bigger the bookshelf will be as zigzag pieces slide in and out to accommodate books in the resulting spaces. Books can be arranged according to their size and narrow spaces for magazines. The new REK has the same dimensions as the first, but weighs only 80 kg and the maximum dimensions of the bookcase are: 202 x 228 x 36 cm, the modern version is lighter and more sustainable. The guide has been improved and a stop has been added to ensure the parts don’t slip out too far. Expand your book collection and your bookshelf accordingly!
