Al Gore is a prominent figure in American politics, known for his role as the 45th Vice President of the United States under President Bill Clinton and his tireless advocacy for environmental issues. Born on March 31, 1948 in Washington, D.C., Gore grew up in a politically active family. His father, Albert Gore Sr., served as a U.S. Senator from Tennessee, and his mother, Pauline, was one of the first women to graduate from Vanderbilt Law School.
Gore attended Harvard University, where he studied government and graduated with honors in 1969. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam as a military journalist.
