Arthur Ira Garfunkel, better known as Art Garfunkel, is one half of the iconic folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel. Born on November 5, 1941, in Queens, New York, Garfunkel’s angelic tenor voice and harmonies have captivated audiences around the world for over five decades.
Garfunkel met his musical partner, Paul Simon, in elementary school, and the two began performing together as teenagers in the late 1950s.
