This modern and carefree apartment is located in New York. The owners wanted a comfortable home that was stylish without being fussy and they got it!
The living room impresses with an oversized mirror coat, which is a centerpiece and optically expands the room and at the same time reflects the light that comes from the large windows. A copper stand polishes the look of the room.
The designer loves to create contrasts and a statement, so the black accent wall in the master bedroom was a way to do this without looking over the top. The rest of the room is done in calm tones to make the space more peaceful. The Vogelbein lamp table here is another touch of the designer’s humor, and the warm wooden cabinets make the bedroom cozier.
Exposed bricks were a cool element in the kitchen, they add character and charm to the room and make it a bit industrial. There are a number of different sizes of mirrors to make it even more original. I’m amazed at the sideboard in the dining area, it’s a bit super old with a patina surface that looks so contrasting compared to the rest of the interior.
The designer has put a few bold accents here and there. Check out the black bathroom wall with the fun fish print. It’s so moody! And the soft pink door continues the theme of this fun bathroom. I also like the home office in iridescent blue with an original chandelier and 3D wall art.
The soft mint color of the ceiling in the corridor created a peaceful transition from the living / dining / kitchen area to the bedrooms. The owner didn’t want to put art on the walls and kept this area free from additional decorations so it’s a fun way to still feel designed but calm.
