The Italian designer Luca Nichetto created a lamp for the Scandinavian design brand Hem that contains colorful shades that can be stacked in customizable combinations. The steel spinning shades of the Alphabeta lamp by Nichetto are used in pairs to direct the light up and down from the source. Any of the colors can be selected online by the customer in any combination of shapes and colors – there are more than 10 billion possible combinations, all of which are in stock and shipped to Hem customers for free. The different shapes include cones, bowls and tubes, all of which come in different lengths and widths. When displayed in groups, they look like letters in the alphabet.
