The so-called wooden house offers a total of 82 square meters of living space and is located in Slovenia. The design is simple, but it is in a beautiful forest clearing that offers beautiful views and a lot of privacy. A feature of the house is the fact that it has a permanent outer shell that was needed to provide protection from the bad weather to its residents.
Another defining feature of this project is the fact that the lines between indoor and outdoor space are blurred and the connection is strong and natural. The ground floor has a glazed facade that frames the view and brings in a lot of natural light, but also the vivid colors of the forest enter and become part of the interior.
Wood is the dominant material that was used throughout the project, including inside the house. The inner walls, the floor and the ceiling are lined with wood and this creates a warm and very cozy ambience without creating a rustic feeling. It helps that the decor is minimalist and mostly focused on what is practical and functional.
The living room, kitchen, dining area and bathroom are on the ground floor and a wooden and metal staircase gives access to the upper floor where the attic is located. This zone is divided into several areas, one of which is the master sleeping area and the other is a badge bedroom with custom made bunk beds.
