This desk is industrial, but very refined and original – it’s Torque by Alessandro Isola and Supriya Mankad. Torque is the name chosen for the desk because it is reminiscent of turquoise – there is a nice touch of this color on one side. All components of the piece are functional thanks to clever technology and craftsmanship. The flat plane of the desk is folded to provide support at one end while it appears to be resting on a stack of drawers at the other end. The rotating drawers are cantilevered around the back and fulfill several functions of a carrier, a pivot point and a cable management system that connect the potential floor point to the desk surface.
