Morrison Dilworth + Walls’ Casa di Luce is located in Dallas, Texas. It’s a small, white house both inside and out and opens to an enclosed courtyard through large glass doors that slide and stack in the walls and outside the grounds. This creates a seamless connection to both the small swimming pool and the lush greenery directly behind the privacy screens. The exterior of the Casa di Luce consists of stucco plastered with a spatula and a rain cover made of Roman travertine. The facade design has been postponed to salvage and denote a large, grand old oak tree that already existed on the site. The interior of Casa di Luce has concrete floors and white walls with no walls separated from the floors. The white interior is designed like a gallery to showcase the homeowner’s art collection.
