Monochrome Industrial Home

This house by designer Laura Seppänen Scandi Monochrom is done right. Let’s take a closer look at this swelling with a strong, limited palette warmed by exposed brick accents.

The living room has a brick wall, white floor and walls. Such an interesting setting is accented by comfortable black furniture and a cool concrete table with leather armchairs – such a use of materials gives the room an industrial feel. I love the mirrored copper table as a colorful touch to this monochrome room. Check out the cool black and white painted piano! It is a great idea how to stylize your musical instrument in the minimalist style.

The master bedroom is very peaceful and laconic: the restrained black and white color scheme is highlighted by gray accents – a gray accent wall and bedside tables. There’s a big comfy bed, black curtains, a cool industrial floor lamp, and lots of cool abstract wall art pieces. You can see a large, light wood wardrobe and an open clothes rack for the most commonly used items.

The kitchen is all white, with hardwood floors and black metal cabinets and perforated shelves that look very light. Black metal countertops are very durable, and the backsplash is made of concrete to make it more practical and to match the style. The stools are tall and there is a metal bar cart that adds a more industrial feel – everything is in perfect harmony and looks peaceful and chic.
