Playful Furniture Collection With Unexpected Elements

Brooklyn-based Evan Z. Crane recently launched a new collection of heirloom quality furniture that features playful details like fur that will get you noticed. Crane’s work is characterized by references to unexpected elements on each piece. The Creature Credenza is partially covered with Icelandic sheepskin on the two doors and drawer slides and is made from walnut and oxidized maple for a completely unique look. The Fuzzy Captain’s Chair is made from recycled oak and painted steel. The back is covered in Icelandic sheepskin and De Islas has a specially padded fabric seat cushion. The Ball Nose coffee table features three oversized painted steel legs topped with polished, gold-plated steel feet and an oxidized maple top.
