Timeless Jurassic Light Inspired by British Heritage

The Jurassic Light 117 was developed to mark the 5th anniversary of the UK-based design studio Another Country and is part of the company’s ‘Dorset Series’. The main pillar of the lamp, built in Portland Stone, gives it a touch of rusticity in an otherwise elegant Scandinavian design. The choice of stone (and the name Jura) indicate Dorset’s importance in the world of paleontology. The stone represents the fossils found in and around Dorset, once an integral part of the Jurassic Coast (and now a “World Heritage Site”). The Durdle Door is an integral part of the Dorset coast and is depicted in the unbalanced, abstract rendering of this natural wonder by Jurassic Light. This seemingly simple but very original lamp will be the center of attention everywhere.
