A shower or a bathtub is the focus of every bathroom. If you want to make a statement or an accent, do so with a bathtub or shower room. If you have room for a bathtub, you definitely need a unique but very comfortable piece to relax in as much as possible. I found quite a few unusual bathtubs that will transform your space and make it super cool, ready to see? Let’s start!
Bathsphere by designer Alexander Zhukovsky is a glass bubble sphere that hangs in the air. It allows you to create your own mood and relax space. You can simulate rain, change the temperature in the ball, control the humidity, light, sound – and even smells. And it’s big enough for two!
Xtend by Carina Deuschl redefines the usual concept of a freestanding bathtub. The bathtub is made of carbon fiber and is cut using high pressure water jet technology. It combines design, functionality and comfort. Once folded, the construction weighs seven kilograms and is only 8.5 millimeters thin. The padded, machine washable fabric inlay offers an unmistakably refreshing bathing experience.
The Goccia bathtub means “drop” in Italian and is supported by a large folded edge that resembles a white shirt collar and gives the design a feeling of lightness. To create the smooth surfaces of the collection, Maromin used its hygienic, shock and dirt-repellent Gelcoat®, a composite material made of finely ground dolomite stone mixed with a synthetic resin.
Kora is cut from a single solid block that has been carved using a careful and delicate technique. The stone is first dug using special technology and then handcrafted for details and surfaces. The bathtub rests on an iron tripod, which supports the volume and gives it stability and elegance. Despite the strength of the material, when hung on the ground, the water in Kora finds a new lightness. Marble is free of its weight and floats in the air.
With the style of a precious jewel, the Diamond bathtub will cause a sensation in the interior design. The exterior of this fanciful piece is presented in fiberglass with a luxurious shade of translucent black with a gloss finish. The new bathtub also features a heavily sculpted body that leads to a golden interior.
Erik Edward Kim’s Xiuxi bathtub is a whirlpool bathtub. The home treatment features an air injection device at the bottom that creates water bubbles and friction that causes the anion to open the pores of the skin cells. There is infrared light to stimulate cell tissue and improve blood flow. Specifications include a whirlpool pump for swirling the water for a pressure massage, speakers for music and mood lighting.
Splinter Works combines two important symbols of relaxation, a hammock and a bathtub, and has developed a new bathing experience with the vessel. The design is attached to adjacent walls with stainless steel brackets so that it floats above the floor. At 2.7 meters in length, the ship is longer than the standard bathtub and, in its sloping shape, offers plenty of space to lean back and escape, perhaps with someone else. The sculptural piece is made up of layers of carbon fiber with a foam core that insulates the bathroom longer than normal and can be customized – it can be cut up to 8 inches – for flexible installation.
The Desnahemisfera design studio has integrated a bathtub and a washbasin into the Symbiosis unit. By merging the two bathroom fittings into an ergonomic shape, a structure is created that is adapted to the human body. The technologically advanced product has built-in functions such as the ability to control both the water temperature and the push of a button. The built-in speakers can play music from a mobile phone or device while you enjoy a relaxing bath.
Founded more than 250 million years ago and extracted from the Alps in a Swiss village, it makes it an aesthetically pleasing choice among architects and designers. However, its tough, layered composition makes it difficult to work with and, until now, few, if any, have used the stone to make bathtubs from a solid block.
Newton is an outstanding moment of inspiration. A luxurious statement piece created to meet the needs of our customers looking for the best in contemporary furniture design mixed with luxurious details and quality materials.
